PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Bromelain is a kind of sulfhydryl protease extracted from pineapple juice and peel. It is off-white powder with a slightly special smell. Enzyme activity is inhibited by heavy metals, slightly soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, acetone, chloroform and ether.
Preferentially hydrolyzes the peptide chain on the carboxyl side of basic amino acids (such as arginine) or aromatic amino acids (such as phenylalanine, tyrosine), selectively hydrolyzes fibrin, decompresses muscle fibers, and has a weak effect on fibrinogen . It can be used for beer clarification, medicinal digestion, anti-inflammatory and swelling, etc.

Health Benefits of Bromelain
-
Edema
Bromelain is a valuable substance that can help absorb edema, especially those that are inflamed. It intervenes in all lymphatic or joint swellings. It also promotes the absorption of bruises and hematomas.
-
Ovarian and other cysts
As an extension of its effect on edema, bromelain is effective in improving fluid cysts, including functional cysts of the ovary.
-
Immunity
Bromelain can enhance the body’s overall immunity. It has proven effectiveness in immunocompromised patients.
-
Inflammatory joint and muscle pain
Bromelain is one of the mainstay nutrients for reducing inflammatory joint pain. It reduces pain by more than 50%, both acute and chronic.
-
Asthma, bronchitis, sinusitis
As an adjunctive treatment to reduce inflammation. It also reduces symptoms of rhinitis, sinusitis, and headaches.
-
Digestive disorders
Bromelain can partially compensate for the lack of digestive enzymes, more specifically the enzymes that digest protein. Thus, it improves overall digestion and protects the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines.
-
Blood clotting and cardiac prevention
Bromelain has an anticoagulant effect. It inhibits platelet aggregation, thereby preventing blood clots from forming, further reducing the risk of heart attack.
-
Weight
Pineapple is known to promote weight loss. It promotes digestion and flushes out toxins, and a good metabolism means less stagnation, resulting in weight loss.
Bromelain Application
-
Food processing industry
Bromelain hydrolyzes the large molecular protein of meat protein into small amino acids and proteins that are easy to absorb. It can be widely used in the fine processing of meat products.
-
Pharmaceutical, health care products industry
It can effectively treat inflammation and edema, inhibit tumor cell growth, improve drug absorption, and support the cardiovascular system.
-
Cosmetic industry
Acts on the aging stratum corneum of human skin, promotes its degradation, decomposition, and removal, promotes skin metabolism, and reduces skin dullness caused by sun exposure. It can make the skin present a good white and tender state.
-
Feed
Adding bromelain to the feed formula or directly to the feed can greatly improve the utilization rate and conversion rate of protein. We can develop a wider range of protein sources, thereby reducing feed costs.
How To Use Bromelain?
Bromelain is one of the most commonly used substances in meat tenderization. Additionally, it is used for sports injuries, trauma, arthritis due to its pronounced anti-inflammatory effects.
Dosage
If people take bromelain as a supplement, the most common dosage is 200 mg per day, but some people can take as much as 460 mg per day.
