PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

What’s Liposomal Vitamin K?

Liposomal vitamin K is a vitamin K preparation prepared using liposomal technology. Vitamin K is a class of derivatives of the naphthoquinone moiety with chlorophyll quinone bioactivity, including vitamin K1 (chlorophyll quinone) and vitamin K2 (polyisopentenylmethylnaphthoquinone), both of which are fat-soluble vitamins. Liposomes are bilayer structures formed by the self-assembly of lipid-like molecules such as phospholipids and cholesterol, similar to cell membranes, which are capable of encapsulating both hydrophilic and hydrophobic substances, improving their stability and bioavailability. Liposomal vitamin K can be used in a variety of applications, including drug delivery systems, nutritional supplements, and the cosmetics industry.

OEM Formula Complex

Vitamin K mainly includes the following aspects:

coagulation

Promoting the synthesis of coagulation factor: Vitamin K is an indispensable cofactor in the synthesis of coagulation factor II, VII, IX and X. When these clotting factors are synthesized in the liver, vitamin K is required to participate in their carboxylation process to make them biologically active and thus able to play a role in the clotting process. If vitamin K is lacking, these clotting factors can not be synthesized or activated normally, which will lead to coagulation dysfunction, and the human body is prone to bleeding, such as skin ecchymosis, gum bleeding, nose bleeding, etc., which may cause internal bleeding or even life-threatening in serious cases.
Participation in the regulation of coagulation process: In addition to promoting the synthesis of coagulation factors, vitamin K also participates in the regulation of other links in the coagulation process. It helps maintain normal prothrombin time and clotting time, ensuring that blood can clot quickly in the event of injury, forming clots to stop bleeding.

Bone health maintenance

Promotes osteocalcin synthesis: Vitamin K activates osteocalcin, a protein secreted by osteoblasts that plays a key role in bone mineralization. Osteocalcin can combine with calcium ions to promote calcium deposition in bones, enhance bone hardness and strength, and help maintain the normal structure and function of bones.
Inhibits bone resorption: Vitamin K can also reduce bone resorption by inhibiting osteoclast activity. Osteoclasts are mainly responsible for breaking down and absorbing minerals in bones, and if their activity is too high, it will lead to bone loss and increase, leading to osteoporosis and other diseases. Vitamin K helps maintain a balance between bone formation and bone absorption by regulating the function of osteoclasts, which is of great significance in preventing osteoporosis.

Cardiovascular health protection

Inhibiting vascular calcification: Vitamin K can make it active by inhibiting the carboxylation of matrix Gla protein (MGP), thereby preventing the transformation of vascular smooth muscle cells into osteoblast-like cells, reducing the deposition of calcium salts in the blood vessel wall and reducing the risk of vascular calcification. Vascular calcification will lead to the hardening of the blood vessel wall, reduced elasticity, and increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, etc., so vitamin K has a positive effect on the maintenance of blood vessel health.
Improve blood lipid metabolism: Vitamin K may have a certain regulatory effect on blood lipid metabolism. Studies have found that vitamin K deficiency may be associated with dyslipidemia, and supplementation of vitamin K may help to reduce the level of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in the blood, while increasing the level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and this improvement in the lipid profile helps to reduce the risk of atherosclerosis, thereby protecting cardiovascular health.

Other potential benefits

Protective effect on the liver: Vitamin K may play a role in the maintenance of normal function of the liver. It helps the repair and regeneration of liver cells, for some liver diseases, such as cirrhosis, hepatitis, etc., may have an auxiliary therapeutic effect, can improve liver function indicators, reduce liver inflammation and damage.
Role in tumor prevention and treatment: Studies have shown that vitamin K may have a certain anti-tumor activity. It can inhibit the growth and development of some tumors by inducing tumor cell apoptosis, inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis, but the research in this area is still in the stage of continuous exploration and deepening.
