White Kidney Bean Extract
White kidney bean extract is a natural amylase inhibitor extracted from white kidney bean, and its main active ingredient is α-amylase inhibitory protein, which exists in the endosperm of white kidney bean seeds.
The specific glycoprotein structure in the white kidney bean extract (α-amylase inhibitory protein) can combine with the glycoside cleavage site on the α-amylase molecule and cause the conformational change of the α-amylase molecule, making it lose its binding ability to amyloside. It is a glycoprotein with N-terminal glycosylation, resulting in loss of catalytic activity. Experiments show that α-amylase inhibitory protein extracted from Yunnan white kidney bean has lipid-lowering and weight-loss effect on SD rats. After 45 days of high, medium and low doses of white kidney bean extract, it was found that white kidney bean α-amylase inhibitory protein has a significant effect on reducing body weight, visceral fat and total cholesterol in obese rats.
