Kale powder core function:
1. Nutritional Supplementation and Immune Boosting
Complete Nutrient Supply: Rich in vitamins A/C/K (vitamin C content is significantly higher than that of ordinary vegetables), calcium (calcium content per 100g is 1.5 times that of milk), iron, potassium, magnesium, and other minerals, making it suitable for those with an unbalanced diet to quickly replenish their nutrition.
Immune Regulator: Vitamins C and A synergistically enhance immune cell activity, while folic acid and vitamin B6 participate in antibody synthesis. Long-term moderate intake can reduce the risk of infection.
2. Digestive Health
Relieves Constipation: Contains 3.7g of dietary fiber (both water-soluble and insoluble) per 100g. This increases stool bulk, stimulates intestinal peristalsis, and relieves constipation, reducing the risk of colorectal disease.
Prebiotic Effect: Fiber promotes the proliferation of beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria, maintains a balanced intestinal microbiome, and alleviates indigestion symptoms such as bloating.
3. Metabolism and Weight Management
Sugar and Fat Control: High fiber content slows gastric emptying and reduces postprandial blood sugar fluctuations. Its low calorie count (approximately 132 kJ/100 g) and high satiety properties help reduce staple food intake and aid weight loss.
Liver Support: Fiber accelerates toxin excretion, reducing the metabolic burden on the liver. Glucosinolate derivatives activate liver detoxification enzymes.
4. Antioxidant and Anti-Aging Benefits
Free Radical Scavenging: Lutein, beta-carotene, and anthocyanins neutralize free radicals, delaying cellular oxidative damage and improving skin aging and chronic inflammation.
Collagen Synthesis: Vitamin C promotes collagen production and, combined with lutein, reduces UV damage and enhances skin elasticity.
5. Bone and Cardiovascular Protection
Prevents osteoporosis: Vitamin K1 activates osteocalcin, increasing calcium deposition efficiency. A balanced calcium-to-phosphorus ratio (approximately 2:1) optimizes mineral absorption.
Blood Pressure Regulation: Potassium ions counteract the pressor effect of sodium, and dietary fiber absorbs cholesterol, indirectly supporting cardiovascular health. Precautions
Side Effects: Excessive intake may cause abdominal distension or diarrhea. The recommended daily dose is ≤ 10g, and should be taken with plenty of water.
Contraindications: Use with caution in those with thyroid dysfunction (contains small amounts of goitrogens). Avoid high doses in those taking anticoagulants (vitamin K may interfere with their efficacy).
